I take inspiration from every facet of existence, from sad or shameful moments to challenging or proud moments. In a similar way, I have no one idol, but I look up to many around me. It does not matter what their age, gender or race are - what matters to me are their values, thoughts and actions through which these are upheld. An issue that matters to me is [youth] leadership. As I observed the leadership pursuits of my peers, I saw how easily good intentioned-leaders became corrupted leaders, and how charismatic leaders became narcissistic. Some leaders that I admire in history are Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela who not only voiced the many injustices against people of African descent, but who also called for equality for all. My life, the world around me, it is all an inspiration. I see good and bad, and it all inspires me in a way to touch people's lives and spread hope. My dreams are an inspiration; I know I was born to bring a smile on someone's face, give someone a reason to live and make someone feel loved and cared for.
